Thomas Grant, 70, of St. Marys, WV, Nine Mile Community, died, January 29, 2010, at his residence. He was born, November 23, 1939, in St. Marys, WV, a son of the late Thomas E. Sr., and Carmen George Grant. He was retired from the former Colin Anderson Center, St. Marys, WV, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, boating, playing the guitar, camping, talking on the CB radio and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of thirty one years, Melody J. Shingleton Grant, five children, Chris Shingleton, and his wife, Maryellen of Pennsboro, WV, Carrie Wetzel of Washington State, Jessie Williamson and her husband, Dave, Justin Grant, and Georgia Grant all of St. Marys, WV, four grandchildren, Luke and Marissa Shingleton, Mialachi Wetzel-Hall, and Cody Williamson, two sisters, Dorothy McFadden and Barbara Dennis both of St. Marys, WV, several nieces and nephews, and his cat, Dude. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Bradfield.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 2 P. M. at the French Creek Baptist Church in Pleasants County, WV with Pastor Wayne Nichols officiating. There will be no calling hours. Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV is assisting the family with arrangements.
