Biography

Paula J. Bennett, 58, of Belmont, WV, died, February 25, 2010, at UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born, March 21, 1951, in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Harry and Helen Shutts Kidder. She was a United Methodist, and had worked in the Laundry at both the former Colin Anderson Center and Carehaven of Pleasants in Belmont, WV. She worked in her earlier years at Foodland in Parkersburg in the Dairy Department. Her hobbies included sewing, bingo, quilting, cards, NASCAR, and most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, James L. Bennett, son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Whitney Bennett of Belmont, WV, grandchildren, Adam and Anna Bennett, one sister, Lela (Jack) Starcher of Arnoldsburg, WV, two brothers, Mike Kidder of Parkersburg, WV, and Ray (Shirley) Kidder of Belpre, OH, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Kidder.

Services will be held Monday, March 1, 2010, at 2 P. M. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV with Pastor Dave Ellenwood officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasants Memorial Estates at Eureka, WV. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P. M. Sunday, and from 1 to 2 P. M. Monday at the funeral home.
