Biography

Lewis G. Malone, 66, of St. Marys, WV, died, July 7, 2010, at the Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, WV. He was born, March 29, 1944, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Ray William and Madge Mitchell Malone. He was retired from Witco (Union Carbide) on July 1, 2000, had been a member of the St. Marys Volunteer Fire Department, was a charter member of the Pleasants County Emergency Squad, and was a member of the BPOE Elks Lodge #1701 in St. Marys. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Peggy Underwood Malone, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Ray Malone, brothers, Floyd Malone, Wylie Malone, Charles Malone, and an infant brother, and a sister, Lois Kelley.

Services will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010, at 11 A. M. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV, with Pastor John Strimer officiating. Interment will be in the Willow Island Cemetery, Willow Island, WV. Friends may call from 2 to 9 P. M. Friday at the funeral home, where an Elks Memorial Service will be held Friday at 8 P. M.
